Default Fresh in from Montana

Picked this 77 Y82 W72 up the other day. It's all original, #s matching from radiator to rear axle, carb to pan.

It's pretty heavily optioned, including AM FM 8 track, lighted passenger visor, deluxe velour interior, AC, Tilt, Cruise, Defrost, T Tops ect ect.

What's weird is it's a manual window car, which I love. Power windows are a PITA.

It's 95% rust free, which is cool. Needs a lower quarter on the driver side.

It's been off the road for some time now, but I've already got it running again. I'm currently going thru the brakes and changing all the fluids. I'm thinking about cruising it in it's current state until late summer. I'll tear it down then and completely do it over.

Looks like you have a good foundation for your project. There is something about a Bandit car.......

That P1800 didn’t drop anything on it during transport I hope!
Maybe I’ll see it somewhere if things open up more this summer.
Have fun with it, looks good. I worked at Tom Connelly Pontiac in Norwood, MA in 1977.

Nice...real nice! Wish the body & interior in my '77 Y82 M21 project was that clean.
Mine is black Lombardy cloth interior as well, going to be expensive to replace the upholstery.

Missoula.

It looks like a very pretty state. I'd love to visit it one day.

Misterp266, if that was a P1800ES I'd grab it. Yeah the 77 TA is very nice, but to drive a P1800ES is a very nice ride. That last one of those I saw was in Cornwall, Ont back in the late 70s. They're value is pretty good these days. In the 30,000 and up range, depending on condition.

Sorry for the hijack.

I would have felt better if you would have said Billings (across the state), ha. Missoula is the college town just two hours south of me.

Happy for you. Pic of my shoulda kept it 78, why I lust over 77-78 Black ones.

Good for you. Good luck with it. I passed on electric windows when I ordered my car. PITA waiting to happen... at the worst possible moment of course.

Yeah, I have a strong dislike towards them. They're cool when they work ok, but on the 2nd gens they're always slow, and the switch on the console isn't the best look. Same with power locks.
