BOP belt drive plate in 73 Bird question

Trying to use the BOP belt drive motor plate in a 73 Bird with stock frame rails and steering. The rag joint and upper control arm interfere. Has anyone else done this, and if so what did you do to mount it. Pics would be awesome. Thanks
