Heater core question
Does anybody know if a heater core for a 69 Camaro w/o AC will work on a non-AC 68 Firebird? Thanks.

It will work but it is a bit thinner than the 67/68 style core.

I have an extra one lying around I'd sell ya! Mine is from my 68 Firebird, but should work in a 69.

AC heater cores have longer tubes (tubes that the hoses connect to) because the fire wall box extends into the engine compartment more.
Is your car an early or late 68 build? Early 68s use the thicker 67 core, sometime mid product they switch to the thinner 69 style. You can make the thinner core work in the thicker box. You can not buy the thicker core. Only thinner is available in the aftermarket. Rick |
