The manifold top pattern is now complete and is at the foundry where samples are being poured now. Should have the first article castings of the top next week. The early base pattern is almost done, working on the inside cores now.

I am a former machinist and currently designing plastic injection molds. All my design work in done in 3D solid models. I have designed and built my own tunnel ram intake manifold but this thing is off the hook! Absolute amazing work gentlemen!!!!!! WOW!!!! May I ask what kind of shrink factor is used?

Congratulations to everyone who has been involved with this massive project from start to finish. It is rare in the business of custom, short run, hobby projects to see a project all the way through. Even more incredible to stay on some sort of time line and budget. I was at the PRI show, Performance Racing Industry trade show over the weekend. I showed pics of the patterns and the billet intake to at least 50 vendors of parts we have used in our Pontiac race cars over the decades. Everyone was so impressed with it. These vendors included the President of ARP, The owner of Be Cool radiator, The guys at Crower, Hooser Tire, Jesel, Wilwood Brakes, Tim at Ultradyne Cams, All the companies we deal with. Every one of them were so impressed with the manifold and all the effort. You guys should be really proud of this!

Christmas milestone. The first casting of the lid came off today. The part will have the flash knocked off, next the top carb flanges will be milled, the holes put in, and the mounting flange to the base machined. Casting quality looks really good!
