Alvin, your posts made me look on the web & I found that back issue. Should be at my home in a few days. One more magazine to add to my small collection.

That would be easy to say if they actually came up for sale once & a while to compare.
That's one radio I wouldn't dare put a price on. Get a few people looking at the same time & the sky is the limit. I think I saw one sell several years ago for well over $500, & thought that was a lot then, so who knows.

I did a quick scan this morning of the article for those who would like to read it. I made it as a pdf & if I can put it on the server at work I will try to do that later. it was too large for PY server. Let me know if its too low of resolution to read the print. I'll try to re-do. Unless you have a large monitor, its pretty poor downsized. Enjoy! (pages 1-4)

Dang, I would say. Nearly 7 years!
Sadly, I don't think my 10th has has moved since then either....

I agree. I only take mine out every couple months. Not nearly enough.

I didn't even know this thread existed... great bump!
When I bought mine the owner had it set up as the JC Whitney show car. He was unsure of the motor that was in it other than it was a 455 installed by the first owner, I'm the 3rd owner, to my surprise after researching the motor it wound up being a nearly stock/complete '72 455 HO Before and after pics |

Looks far superior over the "boy racer" look.

Good timing to bump this thread back to the top as I am about to start a "preservation" of my 10th anniversary. Thinking about starting a separate thread on it.

I had no idea this thread existed. I have a 4 speed being restored right now. Had an automatic lost in a fire. Car is about 80% finished, hope to be on the road this summer.
For those that may be interested I started a registry myself a couple of years ago. It is not public at this time. IF anyone has pointers on how to take it to the next level I am open to suggestion. I collect info from classifieds and by asking around. To date I have about 80 cars listed with the breakdown being about half manual half automatic. |
