Mornin all
anyone ever seen green gas stabilizer? I'm working on a friends 55 tbird that has not run in 10-20 years. Siphoned out the old gas and it was bright green! i've used seafoam and stabil; never seen green. Got it running at one point after adding new gas but now will not pick up and run. Wondering what was added to the gas. Car owner has no idea. I'm planning to investigate fuel pump and carb today.
Backstory is my friend owned a body shop until closing it during covid, did all my paint work before that. I am now trading labor....I get his tbird sorted out and he will match me hour for hour teaching me bodywork/paint. Will be building a paint booth in my barn soon.
No experience on old fords before but the tbird is growing on me....
The green stuff in the jug is what came out of the tank. Smelled like old gas.

I'm not familiar with any green stabilizer. But, it does look like anti freeze. Could've been inadvertently been added by someone, so it would smell like gas then. People winterize with strange things when they're not car people.

Had not considered antifreeze but that might be it.

I have no gas coming from fuel pump so that is where I'm going next

Might be a marine fuel stabilizer Maybe Lucas or Stabil

i think you are right. i just googled around and Lucas makes green marine stabilizer....got to be it

Or could be two stroke oil.

VP fuel stabilizer is Green

turns out the fuel pump is shot on the car....sending it to Arthur Gould Rebuilders in MA.
