Meat Loaf RIP
Meat Loaf, the singer and actor best known for his best-selling Bat Out of Hell albums and roles in films as varied as The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Fight Club, died Thursday at the age of 74.
The news was confirmed by the singer’s family in a post on his official Facebook page. A cause of death was not given. “Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight surrounded by his wife Deborah, daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends,” the family wrote. “We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man. We thank you for your understanding of our need for privacy at this time.” |

Gone at 74, Marvin Lee Aday, better known as 'MEAT LOAF'. RIP, Eddie!
Another great rock and roll voice talent is gone.
TMZ reports it was COVID. Meat Loaf's music is an indelible part of my teens. Gonna have to dig out the 'Bat out of Hell' 8-track and play through it today. https://societyofrock.com/40-years-a...-turning-back/ Last edited by Stuart; 01-21-2022 at 04:42 PM. |

Allman brothers Band deaths (that I reviewed last night) made me far more saddened for the losses.
Meatloaf died much older than all of the original Allman brothers that passed. |

Decent singer, but I thought all his songs were about 3 minutes too long.
