Check out the new chassis! I’d love to hear thoughts on it. I’m really impressed. Anyone know who owns this car? Would love to hear feedback on how it handles.

Would also love to know whether you think it helps or hurts the value on a pretty original T/A?

it's pretty cool.

Hopefully they did this on this otherwise unrestored/original car, to get all the mocking up of attaching locations banged out.

This would be cool for a hot rod based on an early F-car.

As cool as it is in concept, would (in my mind) really hurt the value of an original 1970 (four speed!) Trans Am.

I see they're also working on a 1966 Catalina. Unfortunately it went from a 421 to an LS engine.

Why didn't they do this to a base Firebird?? Or a car that had been previously modded? Why an untouched original car?? Never understood why people pay up for a numbers matching original car so the can mod it out..

One of the first things I noticed was that the cad rendering had an LS motor.

They should've hacked up a base Catalina and added the 1/4 louvers...

Nice performance upgrades but I wouldn't have done it to that car. I didn't see it in the description but I'm assuming that it was numbers matching all original. That kind of stuff is cool but should be done on a base model or something that's already been modified. But, it ain't my car.

I too hate to see largely original cars cut up. But appreciate the perspective of wanting the classic cars with modern technology. It would be better to seek out an already modded car. But sometimes it's where you're at and what you have to work with.

Cool looking build. Unfortunate it is on this car but appears bodywork was minimal and reversible. May be a nice way to get new tech undercar without hacking it up. Now, the LS thing.. Go all the way and swing in a new Ram Air V…

I didn't see any bodywork - maybe I missed that?
I see this as being 100% reverseable so far.

The only body work I saw was a repair of the dent below the fender vent on the right side.

Everything they've done so far may be reversible, but that's a whole lot of reversing to do. And that's if they preserve all the original parts. From the looks of it, I'd guess they're going full pro touring on that thing and it will end up with a LS motor, TKX (they already have the LS and TKX in their rendering), new interior, gauges, body mods, the whole 9 yards.

I was looking at these guys gallery of cars and they are the ones who did Joe Rogan's 69 Camaro. The stuff they do is amazing. Super high end. But nothing close to stock. Like I said, I think they're just getting started on that car and who knows what it will be when they're done. But, If it's anything like most of their builds, I don't see it ever going back to anything close to stock. However, I'd still want it.

We ordered a chassis from them last year.Was to be here first couple weeks in Jan.They have now pushed us off until mid Mar,now mid April.Lot of money,not happy with their production dates.Tom

I love hot rods and pro-touring cars as much as I like well restored cars. But there is a right "starting point" for each.

This is a car that should have been preserved or restored, IMO. A shame to see what's been done to it.

Here's the BaT comments the seller of this car made in 2019:

I went and looked at this car in Erie Pennsylvania when it was first listed and offered close to 40 on the car before the auction he wouldn’t take it , it was a very clean original car , it’s shot now
