Manual steering gearbox parts.
I have a 1968 GM A-body with manual steering. I would like to buy the bearings and seals/gaskets for my steering box. Does anybody know of a source for these parts? My local parts counter has been no help.

It appears that kits are available if you google something like: rebuild kit for a Saginaw manual steering box. There is also an older magazine article that shows the process and recommends a kit from "Harry's Steering Gear". I swear that I saw a Jim Mott article a few years ago - where he showed the rebuild process and had got a kit from a Corvette parts supplier. But I can't seem to find that article now...

I would try a known steering gear rebuilder. Lee. Lares, etc. Am sure there are others. I have had several manual boxes rebuilt by Benchworks in Phoenix AZ, they might? sell individual service parts.

Thanks for the replies. I'll keep trying. What I initially thought was going to be easy has proved to be pretty tough. I've got an expert old GM mechanic who will knock down my gearbox and redo it if I can just get him the parts.
