Anyone knowledgable about '64 Impalas? Good website?
I am pulling a '64 Impala convertible out of a run down garage tomorrow. Car is kinda rough, but seems pretty complete. Not sure what's under the hood, other than it's a V8. Car is semi-buried. Comes with a ton of spare sheetmetal and interior.
I know they're desirable and bring decent $$$, but I have no idea what this stuff is worth. Or where is a good place to list it, once I establish a rough value.

If it has scalloped valve covers and two afb’s you might have struck gold.

A guy I work with just inherited a 64 Impala 4 door sedan with a 409 4 barrel automatic. I think he said the sticker on air cleaner said 360 horse power.

I had a white 64 SS several years ago with a 327 V8. Liked the car but was not a fan of the peanutbutter drive powerglide!

I know where a 64 Impala 2 door is that has been sitting up for years. I go by every few months asking about it. After about 10 years of “It’s not for sale”, the other day I got a “I’m not going to get to it, let me ask the family if anyone will do something with it. If not, I’ll find you”. Seems the current owner’s grandfather bought it new. I understand trying to keep it in the family

Well, I spent most of yesterday pulling the Impala out. Last inspection sticker was 1980! It's a little rougher than I was hoping for, but it should still make enough to pay for my efforts. Also pulled a '79 Trans Am 403 car and BD-5 Jet at the same house.
First pic is what it looked like when I cut the garage door out of the way-

I haven't been able to get the hood open yet- The hinges are frozen up and I don't want to ruin the hood. It's got a V8 VIN- I'm figuring on a 2bbl 283- anything better is a bonus.

Yep 2bbl 283 , glides were what most were. Low HP 64 409 was 340 HP small heads. Big port heads 400 HP single 4 425 HP dual quads.

Were there engine callouts on the body anywhere if you got better than the base motor? It has "V" badges on the sides, but no motor callout. Same with the extra set of SS fenders.

A BD-5 jet! That's something you don't see any day. Just like James Bond: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9d2KRxDFYl0

Yes, a "V" is a 283. If it had a 327 it would have the "V" with 327. No emblem is a 6 popper.

There were a lot of 327s but 'standard even SS was a 283 2bbl. My dad had one (used by ARA to develop a Frigiking add on A/C) and the one I ma cloning my old 409 Impala was one. The intake and 2bbl were still in the trunk when I bought near the Pontiac Southern nationals years ago. Using one of my old '09 blocks form the 70s.

For those that are knowledgable about Impalas- any opinion on ball park value of a project car like this? I don't want to hang on to this car, just wanted to save it from the crusher... and put a few $$$ in my pocket. I don't want to give it away for way too little- or ask an unrealistic price either.
