Headlight switch tool?
Is this right for 68 switch removal?

Probably not. 2-prong needed. I use a pair of needlenose plier carefully, and also gab the switch. and give it a little twist while steady on the threaded retainer.
You know about the button to press on the switch to remove the knob-shaft right.. |

Well shoot! I guess I need to order the tool with the bezel knob set then. Ok thanks for the tip. I had forgotten about the button release.

that is an ignition nut tool
put a dime in your vise grips .... it works great for the headlight switch nut at the wrecking yard... a washer etc , I have a 7/16 socket I cut down on 2 sides with the cut off wheel to make the tool cheap n easy ,, did the same with larger socket for taking the flat nuts off the door glass too Last edited by Scott Thelander; 05-12-2022 at 03:06 AM. |

I went ahead and just bought the tool from Ames since I was already buying the dash knob bezel set. Thanks for the tips though.

I think that tool also works for antenna bezel nuts.
