Default Chinese "Handcuff" material for wire harness/looms.

Good day all, A friend is looking for the best quality Chinese "Handcuff" material to clean up his engine compartment wiring. This material is the cloth, fiber and or plastic mesh that you push together to expand and or pull to constrict. He is looking for black in color for the mesh. Please share your thoughts and source. Thank You.

chinese finger trap.

i like the idea of the weave for a harness wrap, but still support the black harness wrap on my car.

I Sure loath the ribbed blackplastic split tubing, and enjoy removal at every opportunity.

Not sure if you have a Bobcat skid loader rental place around…
If so go in the shop and talk to the service manager.
I’ve bought it by the foot at my Williams Equipment branch before for the wiring harness on my Bobcat loaders.

Hi Sun Tuned, yes, CAT dealer is near by. I will swing in to see if they have anything available. Thanks for the recommendation. I've picked up several samples from various vendors, comparing as I receive them.

Looks like the cloth loom stuff could be " edible" .
ARE they made with plant based plastics? I know cotton is a plant, but the critters love the harness wire insulation and have seen them munch on this stuff. But I do not know the brand. I'm thinking it's time for " Project Farm " to trap some rodents and give the stuff a test !

I like TechFlex F6 woven. Look it up on www.wirecare.com

It is a split loom.
