Update. I tried this stuff:
https://www.amazon.com/Permatex-8209...0018PW15I?th=1 I just wiped off the pan with brake cleaner and sprayed a few coats on the crack in the bottom of the pan. So far, so good - I can see from the UV dye that the leak appears to be stopped. The permatex stuff kind of skins over and it looks like it might just work. I haven't driven the car yet but will take it out next week when it cools off to see if it holds up after a long drive. |
