Default SVGTO Show

Just curious if anyone on here attended. This was the first year I missed in a while. Hated not to go but the forecast was dismal especially considering a 2 hour ride to get there.

I had planned on going until my car had issues. Hopefully getting back on the road this week . new timing chain is coming today. , I acquired a real nice timing cover to replace my cracked one. Had one hell of a time getting the woodruff key out also.

I was there. Weather must have been bad to the east as I was parked and talked to a guy from Reading and he said he almost didnt go because the weather looked bad. It was nice and sunny to the south. Really good day as usual, saw a lot of the same cars, there was an absence of a lot of cars I usually see as well. All in all I would say they had their typical turnout. I give the SVGTO credit as it is a well run show. Very organized and no drama. They deserve credit for their effort. With everything there will always be criticism. Mine would be to MAYBE have an option with food vendors. The guy and gal that were there did a great job, and unlike a few years ago they stayed for the whole show. Only problem I heard a couple of people talking about is how they were very slow, and there was a constant long line there. May not be enough people to support multiple vendors though. The other problem I have, and its not only this show but seems like most shows is the classing of the cars. I dont think that first gen firebirds should be in the same class as second gen firebirds/trans ams. Its like comparing apples to oranges.

I went, weather was great from the Philly area to there and enjoyed the ride up and back. Always a well run show with some great cars. and friendly people. It would be nice if they would open it up to swap vendors since there isn't the Pypes/Performance Years show anymore that had a good amount of Pontiac vendors.

How about some pics for those of us unable to attend? This was always a great and well run show with usually 150-200 cars

I'm not missing this year! Forecast looks good according to AccuWeather. I missed last year because of a dismal forecast that never developed into any precipitation.

This is an excellent show, one of the best. All Pontiac and they get alot of cars.

See you Saturday.

Great job goes out to the SVGTO club! Another great show on Saturday. 155 cars, all Pontiacs. Well run, organized and a fun day. Classes A-R with awards! Had a good drive there and back (about 1.75hours for us one way coming from eastern PA). Well worth the trip. Many cars from New Jersey and New York! Their commitment to the show is quite a statement.

Even though it is an all Pontiac show, I managed to get a Chevy through the gates and win a trophy! My 62 Bel Air won a trophy in the model contest! Thanks to Tim and son for the model car contest.

Thanks again SVGTO!

I was there. Yes another good show. The one show I try to get to every year. I think the overall attendance may have been down slightly, I counted 9 second gen firebird/trans ams! I would post some pics but looking back at the thread they are just about the same as last years pics I posted.

Got it on the calendar. Also with my sons recent purchase of GTO there will be at least one more! Cant wait, its a great show if anyone here has not been before. I only go on show day. The friday cruise sounds enticing, I will look into it although I dont drink so a winery has little interest to me.

I have it marked on the calendar. My 102.9 WMGK calendar that I was honored to be in... April 2023. Possibly the last one seeing John DeBella retired June 30th.
