It's been a while since I wrote this post. I have been able to install the shaft connecting the column to the steering box. There is still some side to side movement once everything is installed (spring wheel etc). Might be normal, just feels off to me. Makes me question if I need to replace the upper bear ( check torque on bowl). If I tear into it, can I repack the bearing? I'd replace, but have not found a bearing. Thoughts?
