Her inaugural ride...
After almost a year of hemorrhaging $, anguish, pain and suffering she is finally running.
The rear main seal is still leaking, the pinion seal is still leaking, the muffler is dragging, and now she is over-heating but dammit she is on-the-road! Went to her first cruise nite and met a fellow pontiac nut with a really rare SD formy...then i crawled home, overheating, and muff dragging all the way...lol |

That's gotta feel good! I know I always find more enthusiasm to start fixing the remaining stuff once it's actually driving.

It does seem to take forever sometimes…. Been working on my 72 TA clone forever. Bought it in 2013 as a running driving car to paint and enjoy- I bet I have driven it less than 1/2 mile. Hopefully that changes soon

Thanks
Ya the best part is bonding with my daughter... She is turning into a real gear head lol I used to drive my old rusty t/a to the shows but parked it way in the back out of embarrassment. Too bad it took all summer to find another motor and work out the bugs. Always learning. |

That's awesome...we need to do what we can to hand down over the pontiac torch to a new generation.
Haha, ya not the idea first car. Mine is eyeballing a 90's grand am but I would rather her drive a half ton - the person in the accident always walks away from the truck vs the car. She gets her license soon so lots of grey hairs coming my way...lol |

With the original style rear main seals no longer available, you mean to tell me there are some that Don’t leak?

Do you really think it's numbers matching all original?" |

We put in a BOP space age design seal - still leaks, but not as much...
Seems like the least of my problems and running out of summer anyways...lol |
