I was in a airplane a few thousand feet higher that the Space Shuttle "transfer aircraft" in Texas during a Trip to Southwest Research located near San Antonio Texas. Quite a experience for me.

They were heading back to the Cape after refueling.

The Boeing 747 aircraft was one of the best. Right up there with Howard Hughes Lockheed Constellation.
Different designs but some of the "Best of the Best" in Aviation knowledge.

Lockheed Constellation was a propeller-driven, four-engine airliner Designed by Howard Hughes and built by the Lockheed Corporation starting in 1943.
