Just FYI, the shop manual for 1966 was written to assume the original bias-belted tires were still on the car.
The F.E. alignment #s for old school 1960s tires would not apply if you are running modern radial tires on your GTO.

Riding original bias-belted tires is a challenge with ANY alignment.
I have found radials runs quite well with original alignment specs on my 1966 GTO. Donīt go crazy with camber and toe-in and youīll be fine. 0 to - 1/4° camber and 1/16" total toe-in is a good start. With P/S you may want positive caster to gain some course stability, in most cases itīs possible to change from - 1 1/2° to + 1 1/2° by adding shims at the rear upper control arm. FWIW |
