Be prepared to LOVE that manifold! I was very impressed. It's a little heavy and clunky but performs great. Plan on spending some time with Z-Spar splash zone or some other epoxy making the runners/ports line up. Your work will be rewarded. Good luck with it.

If your looking for just the height from the edge of the plenum at the head to the top edge with any top on is 5 1/2" , not a vertical length , just the distance from one to the other...

Not sure what question you are asking. I have a Gutsram on a set of 380cfm KRE High Ports. For me, because I don't plan on going wide-port ever, the solution for bolting a Gutsram to my engine was to mill into the outer runners at the root of the flange and up just far enough to clear inserting a bolt as the runner tapers and gets thinner the higher towards the plenum you go. The runners on a Gutsram in this area are literally 3/4 of an inch thick. One of the reasons it is such a heavy intake manifold.

Thanks!! Sitting on a table how high would it be to the mounting flange for the 2x4 top?
Examples: Northwind Carb pad 7 3/16” / 7 3/16” Victor Carb pad 8 1/2” / 8 1/2”

I still plan on using the Gutsram but I have some ideas to make it better suited for my combo. I want to take some volume out of the runners. I saw somewhere on this forum that somebody mentioned port reduction plates someone made for a Gutsram. I cant find that thread or post but would surely be intersted to see what others have done to take volume out of the Gutsram for smaller (474 vs 535) cube engines |

What heads were you running with your Wenzler-1 tunnel ram? I need to get my 60s to where yours are considering my mph is 136.86 (with the Victor/1150. ) (134.30 with Gutsram ...but air vastly different) I would have loved to tried my original Wenzler on my hi-port headed combo but it seems a whole new roof added over the top of the runners would be the only way to use it on my hi-ports. I ran a original Wenzler on an iron d-port (48) engine and went 10.60 @ 126.25 1.48 60ft |

Home ported 62’s. I think the original Wenzler was better for smaller motors like mine.

I think he did that mostly on early models of his 1st design tunnel ram.
I own both types of Wenzler tunnel rams and neither of them have the phone number cast into them. But I have the seen the Wenzler like you are talking about with the phone number cast on it. Thought that was hmmm...different. |

Measured vertically from flange to plenum mounting surface it's 4 3/8"

If it’s sitting on a table, how tall from the table to the mounting flange where the 2x4 adapter plate mounts to? Hope that makes sense

R 70 Judge mines 6 9/16" for that height , not counting the 2 x 4 top. The wenzler 2 x 4 top adds another 2 1/4.

Thank you sir. I have an idea that may turn out really cool. I’m going to look into it. Now I need to get my hands on a Gutsram.

Where did the name "Gutsram" come from?
