Would have been crazy COOL to have a souped up 4 speed SD455 in a car before the SD 455 was released to the public!!!!

A ton of my cars have 3.23s, and 3 speed autos or 4 speed manual, great street gears. I like the lower first gears (2.60-3.0) with manuals and 3.23s. Tight street converters, 3000-3500 stalls into autos combos.

From stoplight, to stoplight, 69 GTO with a switch pitch T 400, with a Trans Go shift kit, originally came out of out of a 65 buick, with 4.33 gears. Solid roller cam, headers, D port 48s, cast iron intake, with a Q Jet on a factory built OEM 400 engine. It had all factory innards. I also had a ram air air cleaner and hood seal setup, with the scoops opened. I bought the ram air setup from the local Pontiac dealership that I used to work at. Someone put a deposit on it, and never picked it up when it came in. That car was a brute running stoplight, to stoplight. In my signature pics it's parked behind the 69 GP racecar, black with flames.

Most every other Pontiac I've had had 3.23 or 3.55 gears in them, which is much more practical if you're doing any highway travel. I've owned a bunch of 4 speed cars, but I prefer a T 400, even the dirt track cars had T 400s in them. If you spin out or slow down, you're already in first gear without looking for it. Being able to just mash the gas pedal saved my butt more than once from getting run over.
