"Knee deep in my own hypocracy" LOL, hardly! I only commented as your info in the '79 403 T/A listing was erroneous. If this entire thread was in the correct Forum, I might of nicely commented the same. Not sure how clear cut it can be, this forum is for technical threads related to '67-69 Firebirds.
Why is it a LOBBY thread, very similar to that of prev member Bonneville Joe is allowed to run, as a catch all of everything project or running vehicle wise for sale on eBay? It would be one thing in the Lobby, but in the '67-69 Firebird Technical Forum?? All of these Pontiac Technical Forums were designed to help members identify issues & help keep their specific model Pontiacs running, as well as to assist members with more in depth restoration issues. The Lobby, as well as the Clubhouse were designed for non technical Pontiac comments.

[QUOTE=thews;6437141]79 Trans AM WS6 in CA at $200 NR non-T-top car. Car and driver named the 79 T/A the best handling car with the anemic 403 Olds engine (this one has the 403). I love these cars
Do you figure it could out roll a toyota tho? lolz

This is kind of a neat Firebird. At one time there was a vendor making conversion mounts for the Strato Streak V8. Now, its more of a custom operation I guess.

Got to agree w ole pinion head on this one, this is a tech forum for 67-69 birds This isn’t really the location for this thread. If I so much as post a wisp of anything that can be construed as affecting the left party politics it gets kicked out of lobby. Even if it’s relevant to the discussion already ongoing. But this having zero real tech can stay here doesn’t make sense

These posts are great but I concur. Is there not an eBay sightings thread in the Lobby? Seems like an easy and entirely reasonable adjustment so that this thread is back to 67-69 Firebirds only.

No, only "Ebay sightings for non-Pontiac cars" that I found. After almost 3K posts, yeah 2.965, & the 1st being back in 2014, why is this an issue today? It's just one thread and it doesn't seem people are beating each other over the head. I think was aimed at showing some affordable or unusual alternatives maybe; not speaking for thews, but seems that way. And precisely why I posted the 1989 Firebird. If it's moved, I hope our link to it stays so we continue to see the recent posts.

I like that Thews has been sharing his interest and opinions for years. He scours eBay and makes it effortless for me to see what he found. I don't even look at where a thread is posted, I just click on "New Posts" and if the topic is interesting, I read it. If I'm not interested, I don't read it. I definitely hope he keeps it going and if it gets moved, I honestly may not even know it. |

If the mods want to kill this thread then go ahead. To the dipsticks that don't understand all they have to do is not click on it, all I can say is what sort of control freak actually cares about where it is? You may not know this, but the way the internet works is clicking on a thread generates revenue for the site. People with negative vibes need not apply... go find another bridge to lurk and unleash your anger... it's your choice to never click on it again.

67 Firebird 400 in Michigan at $39K BIN. I think Coranado gold is my new favorite color for 67. The steering wheel looks good, but not sure if it's the stock color?

Here's a 67 Firebird in Signet gold 350 NOM in Chicago at $53K. Pretty sure the Gateway cars start out with a very high asking price and come down in time. The body lines on this one aren't crisp, mags, Camaro spoiler etc., way too high at $53K. It's a nice car if you like the hot rod aftermarket stuff. GTO tiger tail on the rearview seems odd.

Here's a Clark W. Griswold special... it's even in pea green. 74 Catalina station wagon in Ohio at $13.5K BIN and the seller is stating he's taking offers. Not my bag, but there's 94 people watching this car, so someone digs it.
