Just finishing the dual MC conversion on my '64 GP power drum car. Used a '69 Bonne MC- they come in both 'deep' and 'shallow' pushrod depths (I think it was 3/4-in and 1 5/8-in). My car had the longer pushrod and the MC fit the pushrod fine.
The '69 Bonne MC requires (different sized) adapters in both ports to fit the lines. These were harder to track down and ultimately came from 2 different parts places (and one was the state-wide NAPA distribution warehouse- only had one of them). This did push the brake lines very close to the inner fender, I found a cheapie bender at Harbour Freight that did tight enough bends that cleared the fender by about 1/8-in. - - - - - A word of caution - I bought stainless lines from Inline Tube- most of the flares were of very poor quality RE the sealing surfaces- a lot of gouges. ended up disconnecting everything and slipping copper flare washers at the end of every SS line. Never again with SS. They're also basically impossible to re-flare if you need to shorten a line- the SS is just too hard. Finally- all 3 brake hoses Inline Tube sent me were incorrect- the rear was male/female and the front connections were too small to accept their own flared lines! Had to replace all 3 locally. |

CuNi line is a sinch to both flare & bend, very easy to work with.
There is a MC from certain model of cadillac that has the MC lines pointing to the RH side of the car, I think an El Dorado - i'd have to look it up again. Wish I had found that out before I notched my inner fender.

IIRC 1962 cad deville has ports on the engine side. I have one unused if someone needs it.

RE my post 3-posts back, I have a couple of issues ~
1. the closeness of the inner fender and the adapters required on my MC to connect the lines to (which then moved the lines farther outboard), forced me to loop the brake lines at the MC UP, and I think that's trapping air. I think the answer may be to swap in another MC with the standard size ports, and rebend those lines. 2. which reservoir feeds the front brakes, the one closer to the booster or the other? The MC I current have has different sized outlet ports (hence; the adapters), which seems to strongly suggest there's a preference. Recap: '69 Bonne MC for power 4-wheel drum brakes. |

Here’s the MC I ended up getting for my ‘63 Catalina.
Fittings on both sides and can be used with or without a booster and can be used for drum-drum or drum- disc setup. I got the aluminum version for less weight and no rusting. Going to change to a cad plated cover. No, it has not been plumbed yet. Plan to use the outside ports and an adjustable distribution block. Scarebird disc on the front and drum rear. Manual brakes. https://piratejack.net/gm-universal-...ster-cylinder/

Have bit the bullet and procured a '65 Cadillac MC- it's ports are on the engine side and aren't oddball-sized / requiring adapter fittings. Hope to mount next week and resume bleeding.
