Default Edelbrock Performer RPM Heads, SD Performance OF Camshaft and Crane Valve Springs

Need advice,
I am currently trying to setup a set of cast Edelbrock Performer RPM heads with the SD Performance hydraulic roller Old Faithful Grind and Crane valve springs part number 99893. Is this a good setup for these heads with the stock edelbrock valves and Old Faithful grind, or do I need to upgrade from the stock edelbrock valves? Any info such as set up height, valves, etc would be appreciated. Engine is a 461 Stroker with all forged internals.
400 bored .030 over, eagle forged 4.25 crankshaft and eagle rods. Compression is 10:2.1

Camshaft specs
SD Performance Old Faithful Camshaft

236/245 dur @ .050 “lift .578”/.582 with 1.52 rockers and “.627/.632 with 1.65 rockers with a 112 lobe separation.

Crane 99893-16 dual valve springs
Howard's Titanium retainers
The dual valve springs are 1.460 in. outside diameter, 391 lbs./in. rate, 1.080 coil bind height.
Open seat pressure 120 or 130.

Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

My understanding is the stock Edelbrock valves are OK for a hydraulic roller spring, solid rollers with 200+ seat pressure need to switch to 6000 series Ferreras. Ferrera makes some valves for Edelbrock and will not divulge which ones.
Most guys like closer to 140-150 seat pressure with a HR cam. Springs should take it as long as you are not using 1.65 rockers, then you may need to check them if shimmed some. Some E heads also need some grinding or tubes to fit 1.65 rockers.

The stock spring installed height of those heads comes in at 1.800”.

Those crane springs want a installed height of 1.850” for 130 psi.
For a hydro roller I would go for 145 to 150 on the seat, so those crane springs may in fact be a drop in, only wild card on this mix is the retainers and the pressure / installed height they will set up.

Those springs look like even .700” lift is not a problem.

Nothing personal in what I will say here, but if you need to ask these questions and can not take the 5 minutes on line , to do as I did and look up the info , then I would be very inclined to have a professional set up my heads.

I just do not want to see you tare up what sounds like a nice build.

Steve do not assume the heads and springs will meet specs. My E heads Dave CNC'd and sent those springs I had to shim to about 1.740-1.760 to get 145-148lbs on the seat. Were only 1.780 IH as they came and even with a Stump Puller I was concerned about 1.65s. As soon as we get out of the freaking heat here it goes to the dyno!

As Steve said though have some one check the valve to guide clearance as some of Edelbrocks assembled are tight.

This in discussion with the OF cam, and I don't remember if hyd or solid roller lifters.......

"...in most applications we use the Crane 99893 valve spring, installed at 1.790-1.810", I set the intakes on the tighter side of the tolerance, I test all the springs and always put the ones with the higher pressures on the intake valves, since the intake valves weigh more and also have the momentum of the charge pushing on the back side of the valve while the exhaust valve if anything has pressure pushing or drawing it closed and the valve is lighter. On my digital InterComp spring tester the seat pressures on a new set of springs will range from 147-157 lbs typically @ 1.800" and 380-390 lbs @ 1.200" open pressure."

My comments ...

No matter what brand just remember never trust catalog stated pressures, they can and do vary. Test them at your intended installed height with the retainers you plan to use.
