70 Norwood Fuel tanks
Noticed there's a difference in a couple of Norwood built gas tanks. The tank with the partial indentations is out of a Canadian T/A. The new tank is a repop, made in Canada. The Blue car tank has the full indentations, but I don't know if it is a US or Canadian car.

Hmm
I still have my original March built Norwood 70 tank. I'll take a look at it. I never noticed a difference in them before.

Mine is June built - AFAIK it's the original, and I have it propped up separate from the car, I will look to see which version it is.

So my 03C Norwood build 70 has full indentations on its original tank.

The partial indentation tank is from a March built car. I wonder if they were only put on cars for the Canadian market, though I don't know what the reasoning might be.

Mine is a Z49 car;
June build date, and has full indentations. My guess is that you identified another early part.

My 70 was also built with black gauge bezels, but was supposed to have chrome. Supply issues in 70 made for some weird production differences.

Although it's little significance to the thread, my Van Nuys built 70 and well as my Norwood built 70 Z have the full indentations. Both original tanks.
