Define smallish? I put a pump gas 455 together and ran 10.71 on the third hit off the trailer using 3:42 gears and weighing around 3900 lbs. Went back a couple weeks later and ran 10.60 @ 127 then sold that engine. Put together a similar 455 with a bigger cam and ran 10.8 @ 125.... Bigger doesn't always mean faster.
That with a RPM intake?
Jeff cam was solid roller 266-272 .670 lift vs OF 236-248 .64 lift. Jeff was also 3400lbs. Either none of this has to do with me saying Steve25 is wrong for saying a T2 should never be considered on a car with 3.36 gears.

RPM intake all the way. Definitely better for what your goals are. Especially if you’re running the Q’jet

Those times for my car were both with a T2 , 3:42 gear and stock gear set in a TH400.

Jeff's cam didn't have that much lift and the OF 2.0 has more than .640. One needs to look at all the perimeters of a camshaft to decide if one is "smaller" or "bigger" than another. Then it gets even more complicated if one is a HR and the other a SR.

I didn't realize your comment was for Steve25 .... I thought you quoted me.

The OP got the answer to his question with post #13.

Unless someone is making 600 plus..thats the way I think..if one is a Quad guy use the rpm...if you are a Holley guy use the Torker 2...its all a wash either way..use what works with air filter clearance..etc

Years ago Lee Atkinson swapped my RPM on his Firebird over his T2 and it was a wash at the track.

Many of you folks talk as if the car will always be used above 4000 rpm which is a flawed way to think.

So do you think there will be a difference between a rpm and a Quad and a torker 2 and a Holley on the street?

If you ask that question on FB you'll hammered by the qjet lovers, there is no carb ever built that can compete with the qjet according to FB.

Agree.... You can't also mention a big block Pontiac on FB. Those Einsteins have a total melt down over the subject.
