1966 Star Chief
My 66 Star Chief project from Missouri.. sold new at by Vanice in Nebraska. Bought from a friend in Iowa. All first paint mission beige with cream Vinyl top. The original engine was missing. Found the build paper between trunk floor snd fuel tank ..was an 389 4bbl car with dual exhaust .. i searched long time in USA for a good low milage standart bore 389 YE block i rebuilded and added some goodies like the 068 camshaft and some other things …and put in the large engine bay …
Now some vinyl roof sheet metal is going on and finally a new cream vinyl top will glue on .. break work, suspension work / new body mountings has already done. The car is equipped with a positraction rear axle ..in addition i added a nice good used set of 8 lugs after a touch up .. so the story goes on .. greeting from Pontiac Germany Bjoern

My '63 Bonneville convert
Built January 7, 1963 in the Linden, NJ plant and delivered to Trophy Pontiac in Bayonne, NJ, my dad was the second owner, in January of 1965.
When he bought the car, the white top was already on it, though the trim number clearly indicates that she was ordered with a black top. She also had leopard seat covers (it was 1965, remember). She was handed down from one member of the family to the next, and was the car in which I learned to drive. I retired her from daily use, however, in '79. Her most recent major work involved a frame swap (rust!), engine overhaul, tilt column rebuild, new top (including blasting and painting the frame), and new interior (as original, with leather in the seating areas, and vinyl trim) and carpet. She was off the road for all of this nearly 19 years, and prior to that, sat literally unused in my garage for 15 years. I can't believe how much I've missed driving her. She is a member of the family, and truly a personal treasure.
