Thumbs up

Drove my ‘64 Le Mans convertible with its new 421 HO out on the road for the first time in over a decade.

Still needs plenty of work but it’s running, stopping, all the lights are working along with the power windows and the convertible top is operational for the first time since I bought this Le Mans in 1997.

I’m pretty stoked.

So I drove 2 Pontiac convertibles today, 22 and 60 years old.

I fixed my typo. I need better reading glasses it seems.

Anyway I put most of the interior back together until my Legendary upholstery in the original Saddle color arrives hopefully at the end of this year. I plan on driving it this summer and finishing up the air conditioning and heater assembly when the seal kit that’s currently on back order arrives.

The original seat belts cleaned up nicely after a long soak in some Woolite and later some Simple Green and several rounds of scrubbing. Cleaning them up was quite the process as they were filthy.

All of the interior courtesy lamps are working including the console compartment lamp so it’s all coming together nicely.

Got the GTO nose in primer, bumper filler next. The weather may prevent me from getting color on this week.
