Not much older...hope to be 66 in August. Very happy to hear that your story turned out to be a false alarm BVZ... I'm really looking forward to getting "back into the game" of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness if you all know what I mean.

Greg, Many prayers to your health. You are an inspiration for me as well. You hit the nail on the head about power of prayer for physical and mental wellbeing.

I was diagnosed with stomach cancer last fall and just had my stomach removed 6 weeks ago after 4 rounds of chemo . Lymph nodes were clear. Started chemo back up last week.
Get well soon and never give up.

Praying for you to have a speedy and full recovery.

Doc

Wow. Sorry to hear that. It might be helpful to talk about shared experiences at some point. It is absolutely amazing how my appetites and tastes for different kinds of foods totally flipped after losing my stomach. Many things that I used to not like I crave, and many of the things that I used to love hold no interest at all for me.

Greg, I don’t know you but certainly will pray for you now as well! You’re correct in saying the power in prayers of many is undeniably amazing! I’ve witnessed it many times!

May God bless you and keep you and your family as you go through this physical challenge. We’re all here for you brother!

Dave

Best wishes got a speedy recovery, Greg. I celebrate my fifth year cancer free in October. I was one of the lucky ones; mine was detected very early where chemo or radiation weren’t necessary. A good friend of mine was supposed to be dead over a year ago from bladder and lung cancer. He has beaten the odds by seeking alternative treatments for his cancers. His PCP is absolutely flabbergasted because my friend’s lung cancer tumors are not growing in spite of him no longer being on chemo. The one thing Randy ( my friend) keeps is a positive attitude. He is thankful for each day.

I had a suspicion from your previous posts that something was up, but never thought it was that serious. I'm encouraged of your positive attitude and willingness to fight.
My wife was brought to tears when I read her your posts. Her cousin is battling Stage Four stomach cancer. She read your post to her cousin who found it uplifting, giving her new hope for the future.
God bless you Greg. We're rooting for you!

Glad to hear you can eat Greg, I know you said nutrition was a problem, it's nice to know they found the issue and you're getting good care. If you haven't noticed you're a very popular guy. Hope the strength regenerates quickly so you can get back to activities and posting about them. Much love brother, one of my favorites right here!

My father had cancer had a ' bag 'put in 1965. Worked construction till he was 75.He lived up to 2005. He also had a pig valve put in his heart in 1980s. My mother was an RN she took care of everyone. 1970 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Lived to 2015,-94. They both smoked then quit. In my daily prayers.

At the risk of being repetitive, you guys are fantastic. After having spent so much time here over the years, I'm not a bit surprised though.

I’m glad to hear your feeling better! Keep it up. Play with your hotrod and keep your mind busy, but it sounds like you’re already there!
