Default New plastic 70 front bumper

Excuse me if this has been brought up, i tried doing a search, but has anyone had good luck using this new plastic bumper? Just for a daily driver , not a show queen. I have nothing as of a front clip for now.

Interesting. Haven't seen that before.

I note that they have replicated the top metal rail that typically bolts to the nose, as part of the one piece assembly but in plastic.

With a plastic version of the large reinforcement bar also included, $239 is def a very reasonable price to knock a LOT of weight off the frontend of a '70 GTO racecar. Still going to have to fabricate a pair of large bumper brackets to attach to the frame "horns". Many have accomplished attachment of the avail fiberglass nose, but with a lot of chassis shop style tubular attachment. The problem for typ street/strip usage of the 70 fiberglass nose is the lack of stock mounting features. The fiberglass nose was def meant for race only applications.

Have always favored the "Firebirdesq" styling of the '70 GTO frontend. My first GTO was a '70 & I've owned several. My biggest knock on the 70's is the weight of the the massive heavy endura nose structure. Heading out to the shop & am going to weigh a '70 GTO endura nose. Just may order one of these plastic noses before they are no longer avail on Amazon.

Weighed a bare '70 GTO Endura 56.8 lbs.
The steel reinforcement bracing weighs a bunch as well, I'd bet yet another 50lbs.

Is it supposed to REPLACE or is it just a cover like a dash cap?

Wonder how the headlight buckets will mount?

No instructions included, no comments on how to install, no reviews, not a very comfortable feeling.

I'm curious how this will turn out.

There have been fiberglass ones done in the past, but the amount of fab it needs to make it work is a lot of labor.

This listing looks like the same part, says it's a cover:

I have a spare Enduro bumper (1970) that anyone can have. You just have to come to Florida to pick it up.

Hello my name is Ray and wanted to ask if you still have that Endura bumper for the 70 GTO? And what condition is it in?

Yes, Ray I have it and I don't need it. It is in rough condition as I recall. I'll try to get some pics.
