Default 1963 Bonneville Convertible parts car - in parts

Per my age-old post (http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=434780 ), I am parting out a '63 Bonneville convert. The engine is currently on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/1963-Pontiac-389...item1e5bcf372f ), as well as the left front fender (http://cgi.ebay.com/1963-Pontiac-lef...item1e5bcf4a98 ).

Still have:

right front fender
both rear quarters
decklid
hood
doors
apron
tons of mechanical parts

Gone already:

HD 3-speed trans
clutch fork

As the right front fender has some damage (a dent; no crease & no rust), it will be going for a bit less than the left (which has some minor damage all the way up where it slips under the bumper). What do you need?

More pics of the car may be found in my photo gallery: http://www.2rosenthals.net/coppermin...lbum=15&page=1 .

...and I still have parts, in Dix Hills, NY 11746 (on Long Island):

Sheet metal (no trim or interior panels):
doors - $200/ea or $300/pr
front fender (left) - $300
front fender (right) - $200 (see initial post)
rear quarters w/wheel houses - $400/ea or $600/pr
hood - $250
decklid - $250 (take hood and decklid both for $400)
front apron/header panel - $250
radiator core support (w/full shroud) - $250
inner fender wells - $80/ea or $120/set

Mechanical:
389 4bbl (no carb, no exhaust manifolds, no fan) - running condition unknown (motors turns, however) - $300
manual steering gear - $125
rear axle (no, I don't know what gears are in it) - $150

I have more (suspension, brakes, bumper cores). I'll list them separately as time permits.

The above are net of shipping. Best would be for pickup (heck, I'll buy lunch!). I have no real way to crate the engine or any of the larger parts at this point.

More pics available (my server is currently offline, so the gallery is not accessible unless cached by g--gle). Just ask. I felt terrible cutting up the car, but literally, all I needed was the frame - and, as it turned out, the carb and the passenger aide exhaust manifold. I'd like the parts to go to a good home (or homes).

With the exception of the rear quarters, the rear axle, and some of the suspension parts, which I moved outside under a tarp about 6 months ago, everything else has been stored inside since 2005, when the car arrived.

Was the rear out of a manual or automatic transmission car?
If you look at the front of the chuck, there is a letter stamped at the 7:00 position and that will tell you what it is.

Hmmm... Checking pics I have with me... I will have to check when I get back home from dinner. What are the possible letters? A or M or...?

This was an odd car. I'm not sure if it was originally an auto and converted to a manual or whether it was a 3-on-the-tree just moved to the floor.

I shall check and take more diff pics!

Too dark by the time I got in tonight. I'll have another go at it tomorrow.

Unfortunately, Jim, I seem to have lost track of the column and the wheel (I had to buy another wheel as a core as a result of that). However, I'm not done checking with my client who dismantled the car for those last few parts which perhaps never made it back my direction and are still hiding in corners of his shop. I'll ask specifically and get back to you.

Steve, I can't find a letter, but the number stamped on the flange is 9, which indicates a 3.23 non-posi. The casting number is 543817, with a date code of F133 (which I think is June 13, 1963).

I've rotated the pics 180 degrees, as the unit is sitting upside down right now, and it's a heavy sucker to move (and that's WD-40 in the last pic, as I needed to clean the flange to read the number).

Also, after rocking the unit back, it seems to have leaked. Not sure what's up with that. It's dry around the flange, and I can't imagine a crack in the back of the case, but I can take a closer look tomorrow.

Ah, so....

The horn button does indeed have a spring behind the contact. The package is in a plastic sleeve. I can see it in my mind's eye. If not from this car, I believe I have one or two floating about. I shall seek one out tomorrow, and will follow up. ;-)

Naturally, nothing ever goes as it should. I got slammed the other day with this and that, and didn't get into the garage until later to look for that horn button, which eluded me. I was in the basement, where I have parts from other parts cars in a few boxes, and took a cursory look, but nothing stood out.

I'm now away for the week (leaving for the Riviera Owners Association meet in Lexington, KY tomorrow for the rest of the week, then back to my place here in Virginia, before heading back to New York next Monday night. Sorry for the extra few days' delay, but I haven't forgotten you, Jim. the fat lady hasn't sung, yet. ;-)

Jim, I believe this is the button you seek, with the plastic insulator. The last pic shows the button out of the insulator, and the spring unbroken. I only cleaned it up slightly (it's mostly covered in dried lithium grease, I think).

If this is indeed what you need, please send me a PM, and we'll finish up.

This button was in a separate stash from long, long ago, and likely from a car far, far away.
