Looking for a new or good used 2005-2009 Grand Prix GXP (LS4 5.3L) original style belt tensioner; GM 12596250.

(Also used on similar years 5.3L Impala, Monte Carlo, and LaCrosse.)

Thanks limejudge69. I have tried most of those over the past few weeks and they all go to a "part discontinued" response. It seems like all new parts were exhausted a year or two ago from what I've seen in forum posts. I have a redesigned tensioner on the car now that an LS4 enthusiast created. It seems to be working for now after some belt squealing issues initially.

I am, however also looking for an original.

I loved when they shoehorned these V8 engines in the W-body platform, but MAN did they have to make a bunch of packaging compromises in order to do it. Quite a few one-off and less than efficient parts.

I ran a few nationwide searches using search tempest and came across a fair amount of LS4 cars being parted out. Targeting the tensioner specifically I only saw this one. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...tory_type=post

That's it. Not being a Facebook member, I did not find that one in a search. I don't see any way to contact the seller outside of Facebook. Thanks for finding it.
