Default Death notice.........

Eric Hayes, Pontiac enthusiast, age 51 was killed when an Ohio river coal barge ran over his kayak. Not sure of the date, possibly the first week of July.

Brother Vance told me that Eric had posted comments here about me at different times. Not being a frequent user, I have never seen them.

Operating a small craft around massive ones creates a unique vantage point but very dangerous. I'm sorry this happened. Less hard core Pontiac people around every day it seems.

Prayers sent. Just noticed your post. I've been around barges inspecting gravel its intimidating the sizes of barges.
