Billing History Code Question
I have a billing history card for a '65 GTO. In box 59 there is a 2. Does anyone know what options were listed for box 59? Thanks! Bill

Just found a partial answer to my question..."All Series Special Equipment Order". Does anyone know what options tripped a Special Equipment Order? 3.90 rear, close ratio transmission, etc.?

Just searched the forum and found the answer to my question. A 2 in box 59 alerts everyone that there is another form (Special Equipment Form). Has multiple options like HD Radiator, HD Fan, Quick Steering Box, Metallic Brake Linings, Close Ratio Transmission, etc.

Bill, from what I’ve seen on the ‘64 GTOs, the most common reason for the Sales Code 592 was when the Metallic Brake Linings were ordered.
The 3.90 axle required the Metallic Brake Lining option so those builds will show Code 592 but the Metallic Brake Liningxx DC could be ordered with other axle ratios too. |
