Default Bellhousing Question

Will a 62-63 bellhousing work on a 70's block. Thanks

It will physically bolt on. The bolt holes on earlier bell housings use 7/16 bolts but doesn't matter as long as you have the dowels in the block. If you are putting it in a later car I think the trans mounting angle is off. If you are putting a later engine in an older car no problem.

Thanks, the mounting angle will be fine, its for a 63 GP.

No problem putting a later engine in an earlier car. Use your earlier exhaust manifolds if necessary.

You will need a early flywheel to go with the bell and the bell mounted starter.Tom

Thanks Tom, i've got a nice 70' 400 i want to use. So using the early flywheel on it won't matter?
