Plug for heater outlet on timing cover
What are you guys using to plug the heater outlet on timing cover?

I believe this covered in the Jim Hands How to Build a HP Pontiac V8…IIRC, it’s a 3/8 pipe plug?

Carefully tap it for a 3/8 NPT pipe plug. Don’t run the tap too deep, test your plug a few times during the process.
The casting is thin so don’t over tighten the plug. No need to cut the hose nipple off of the cover, just thread it for the plug. This of course assumes the nipple isn’t corroded and thin.
