Default Funniest thing you have seen your dog do.

Beagle chasing rabbits. got his ear caught on a thorn of a raspberry bush. Yelped, pulled his ear loose, then turned around and bit the bush.

First time the Old Lab discovered an electric fence.
Felt pretty bad but still had to smile...

I remember as a kid we had a dumb dog and have no memory of where we got him. Kind of a terrier looking thing.
My mom was making hot dogs one day. She dropped one on the floor right out of the boiling hot pan. The dog of course pounced on it. He took a bite, burned his mouth, and proceeded to start barking at the hot dog.
This same dog got loose from the yard one day as me and my brother watched and tried to coax him back in the yard. He was just run wild at full speed with the zoomies. He ran out in the street and right in front of a VW bug, which ran him clean over. He rolled under the car a few times and let out a yelp. He came out the back and proceeded to run in his zoomies circles without missing a beat. The guy stopped to see how he was. We just waved him off and said “He’s fine!”

1st Dog we had brought a new meaning to "scared the crap out of" Was playing around with dog in the house and kinda playing hide and seek,
I was hiding around a corner and heard her coming and as she stuck her nose around the cornerI yelled. She did a 180 turn and peed and pooped on the floor and took off the other way.
Kinda served me right but it took me a while to regain my composure before cleaning up. Don't think I have laughed that hard in my life.

I was building a dog house for my KNPV Dutch Shepherd. This dog house is like a fancy storage shed.....front porch, columns, architectural shingles, etc. In any event I left to get some more nails and left the hammer on top of the ladder. When I came back she was at the top of the ladder with the hammer in her mouth!

Too many to list! They continue to surprise me with their antics. Dogs are pretty awesome.

I had a older Irish Setter that we adopted. Penny was a good dog. I'd let her out in am to ... then bring her in. One morning I left her out opened my truck door, then went back in house. I came back out to get her she was sitting in truck passenger seat, let's go! Penny I cant next day I did take her to new home we were building. I went to Dairy Queen one night in 71 Formula. She in passenger seat. Got baby cone for her. She ate it outside car. Next time same thing, she would not eat it outside car. Got in car, I held cone and she ate it!! Went cross country skiing with her a number of times. Those are fond memories.

One of my Cocker Spaniels when getting frisky and wanting to play with others and cats will do what we call a booty bump. Anything from subtle to full on swing her backside towards what ever critter.
Again anything from a slight swing to a full on smack da cat a couple feet.
My daughters lab mix is a tennis ball freak.
She has taught herself that if no one is around to throw a ball, she will set it down at the top of the stairs on the deck and give it a kick.
Where the ball will roll 10' across the deck and she will run down the stairs and catch it as it falls 8' from the deck.
That is if the Cocker that booty bumps doesnt intercept it and play keep away.

I had a Camry station wagon. IMO the ultimate vehicle for hauling a dog around. We found a treadmill on the side of the road. Our dog has an "issue" with anything in the car that's behind her. As we were sliding the the treadmill through the back door the dog was moving backwards towards the front of the car. She activated the horn with her butt and jumped a foot in the air because of the honk. She had no idea which direction to go.

We get our peace disrupted by UFOs (unexpected flying objects). Our mutt gets bored and will start tossing her toys for amusement. She is only about 12 lbs but can hurl a stuffed squirrel about 3 ft in the air. Always a show.

My first dog after I got married and moved away from home was a female Alaskan Malamute. I had bought a rusty 1972 T/A back from WV, ran good but looked like crap. She would jump on top of the hood and sit on the roof and howl like a wolf. It was freaking the neighbors out. I took a door jamb switch out of a wiring harness, taped it to the top of the radiator support, and wired it to the battery. I left the hood partialy open.

Every time she would jump on the hood, the horn would blow. My wife and I watched her from the back window. She would put her paws on the door to look into the car to see who was blowing the horn, then she would look under the car, then she would search the back yard looking for who was blowing the hood. She finally gave up.

Was playing frisbee with my Border Collie in the backyard. A down hill area, he slid down the hill a bit making a fast stop under a small tree. He stopped under the tree, screeched, struggled and fell over seemingly lifeless. I frantically ran down the hill where he was laying unconscious. I removed one of his paws from under a root where it had been trapped, shook him a bit and he woke up and looked at me, got up and was fine.

Evidently he thought something had "Got him" ... and he had fainted

My dog like to sun tan on our back porch. A couple weeks ago I let her out and left the door open so she would come back in when she was ready. Rarely does she wonder off. However in this case she decided to have a little trip to the high school next door and join the kids for lunch at the outdoor patio. Any way I'm working away at home and get a call form the school police officer. I walk over to get her and one of the students is holding her feeding her french fries. She had a pretty great day.

Seventeen years ago;
I wasn't there to see this (in Iraq), but my wife described to me over the phone what happened.

Had a mouse in the garage. Pest control guy laid down sticky traps. So the wife goes out to do laundry and the dog (Sussex Spaniel) followed her out. He sniffs around and discovers a mouse in the trap, still alive and struggling. Naturally curious, he gets closer and places his paw on the trap. You can imagine what happened next.
Dog gets excited 'cause the trap is not coming off. He runs through the house with the mouse and the trap attached. Tries to chew it off and gets it stuck to his muzzle and the mouse's still struggling. This went on for several minutes with the wife and the twins paralyzed with laughter. My father in law finally puts the mouse out of its misery but smacking it with a shoe. Then gently pulled the trap off the dog. 'Toffee' got a well deserved steak for his trauma.

Not a single event, but my wife's dog thinks I married her instead. She is a double doodle (golden doodleX2) and from the moment she saw me she claimed me. She hasn't left my side except when I go to work. She will go out of her way to put herself between my wife and I. My wife had her for almost 4 years before we even met, but there is no doubt I am "hers" now.

Happy dog story….

About two weeks ago I was getting a coke at the local gas station (pretty busy place) and I see this little dog wandering around. He was hiding under the cars and would get scared when they started and run out. Looked like he hadn’t eaten in a while but did have an old collar. Attendant said he had been there for two days. Worried he might get hit I bought him a beef stick and got him away from the cars, no one claimed him so I brought him home hoping to find the owner.

Not knowing anything about him and with mild weather we kept him outside - good thing because it turns out my wife was extremely allergic to him. Our labradoodle is fine around her. This was the coolest, nicest most appreciative dog I had ever seen . He had obviously been on his own for a while. He would sleep up against the back door on the pillow we set out for him.

There was no way we could keep him- wife couldn’t handle it. No chip and no responses on any of the websites or apps we posted him on. No shelter in Houston would take a dog, only option was a shelter that would put him down after 10 days and he was just too good to consider that….. they didn’t even say they would take him.

We get his shots taken care of and start asking around with no luck and no good options. I really don’t know what we were gonna do. This dog just wanted to be part of a family and was willing to work for it. He was very well behaved.

Finally we get a message that someone is interested and would like to bring their dog and kids to meet him. The dogs were quick best friends and the little girl fell in love immediately! He got to go home to a loving family and live his best life with two little kids to play with!

He looks so happy in his new home!

Now, our labradoodle will watch TV when there is a dog on and cheer the dog on by barking, howling and jumping. It’s hilarious until you want to watch your show!
