Default Ram Air Hood. Difference

So

I have what I believe is 2 69-70
Ram Air Hoods

But

They are different underneath

Both are original hoods with factory
Trimming on the under structure

One the blue one has the relief for the
69-70 shroud

The other has no relief on the center
Brace above the shroud like a 68 hood

I didn’t think 68’s were trimmed
For flappers like the 69-70??

Any ideas???

Scott

No answer here except maybe an over the counter replacement. Or, did RAII cars have open scoops that would need the cut outs?

Are any visible date codes stamped on the hoods?

Not Ram air but I have an early 69 gto convertible which I believe has not been changed(original patina)which doesnt have the shroud cut out area.
I just figured GM used up 68 hoods or when did they come out with the 69-70 style?

Mines been replaced but I think there is a difference with the ribbing or reinforcement?
