Default Date matched 1959 389 block, heads and crank

For sale is a 1959 Pontiac 389 engine block, crank and heads. The block and head date codes match. All are March 31, 1959 to April 2, 1959.

Block is casting number 532000. Heads are code 531395 heads. The crank is the "ArmaSteel" casting code 531369. This block is stout! Would make a good foundation for a big power engine.

Other engine codes are shown in the pictures. I'm not entirely sure which engine code this is, as it is stamped with an "L" an "F" and an "E" on the passenger's side of the face of the block near the head deck. It is also stamped with a "C" and a series of numbers near the timing chain cover.

I bought this years ago and the parts have been in dry storage in my garage sitting on 2x4s. The parts have a lot of grime on them, but the crank journals, cylinder walls and lifter bores were greased before being put in storage.

Not sure on price. Feel free to make an offer. Or, even if you're not buying but have an idea on an appropriate price, please PM me.

This is located near Portland, Maine. Buyer would need to pick-up or arrange/pay for shipping.

How about you figure out what you want for it and post an asking price for potential buyers.

Otherwise this ad will be deleted, as outlined in the classified forum rules posted at the top of this forum.

Sorry, b-man. How about $1,000 or best offer? I'll update the original post.

Edit: looks like I can't edit the original post anymore...

Thank you.

We don’t need to start a trend here, that being ads without pricing.

You can’t edit your original post, posting it there is fine.
