Default 1966 2+2 conv windshield trim

Is the s/s trim around the windshield the same for a convertible and non convertible cars. I bent one of my pieces while polishing on my buffer yesterday. I'm going to try and salvage it but thought I would buy a set as a backup plan.

Before buying trim I would compare windshield part numbers for a convertible, 2 door hard top and 4 door sedan. Because dimensions can differ, I've run into applications where a convertible w/s and 4 door are the same.

1966 parts book Group 10.093 lists the moldings for 1965 and 66 full size as follows:
side moldings: part numbers 4467854 passenger, 4467855 driver, These are the same for 2 door and 4 door hard tops AND convertibles.
upper molding: part number 4467604 again the same for 2 door and 4 door hardtops AND convertibles
lower moldings are different.
All EXCEPT convertible, part numbers are: 4467228 passenger, 4467229 driver
convertible part numbers are: 4474570 passenger, 4474571 driver
Hope this information helps, I would have guessed the pillar and or top as being different. Ha, learn something new every trip thru the parts books

I agree. I thought the same thing. I was inquiring in case i had to buy a complete windshield set. Haven't found one for sale saying it fits convertible. I wonder if impala or Buick might be same part. Otherwise I have a lot of tapping to do to try and straighten mine back out.
Thanks for the info.
