Default 1965 tripower question

Hi guys,
Just a quick question for the tripower guys.
Around what timeframe did Pontiac switch from the vacuum tripower linkage to the mechanical setup??
My dad had a 65 4 speed car and told me it originally had the vacuum setup. He or the dealer changed it over to the mechanical.
I'm trying to put a timeline on when he bought the car.
Thanks Jeff

1965 was the first year from factory for mechanical linkage to the M/T secondaries.

There was an over the counter mech kit for earlier Tri-Power

Thanks kenth,
I thought so but here's why I'm questioning that.
My father ordered a '65, and I'm trying to figure out when he recieved it I know it was an early build,( don't have car or VIN) but he had it for his birthday,January '65
Im tring to figure out how early
He told me it came with the vacuum setup from the factory and he (or the dealer) converted it to mechanical
Thanks,Jeff
