Default Help needed to ID Saginaw steering box -nominally '70s TA

Trotting this question over here from another MP forum. Backstory is that it came with some other parts, and the seller seemed confident it was from a 77 or 78 TA. Beyond that, there is not much info.

Question: Is there any way to tell if it is WS6 (which had the faster 'straight' ratio) or the standard variable ratio.

I have been told that replacing the cap with an A-Body would change the stops in the box compared to F. Any insights much appreciated!
