I was just talking to my son about this show the other day. He is looking forward to bringing his 04 GTO. I am sorry I have missed the last couple of years as its one of my favorite shows to attend. The new location sounds great also, a bit closer to me. Although it has been a hundred years since I have been to the Concord Mall, I am surprised its still there!

Even with early rain and a new location we still had a great Spring BOPC show and Hurst/Olds Day! We had approximately 35 cars of the various makes. Hurst /Olds Day had two beautiful 83's and also a 72 Pontiac SSJ joined the celebration. Also, we had Don Glover, former Hurst engineer with his display of Hurst items and stories from back in the day. And proceeds and food donations were given to the Food Bank of Delaware. A gorgeous silver 71 Buick GS won Best of Show. Pictures to come.

Nice show, thanks to the Del Val Olds club for putting this on. Not as many Pontiacs as I would have liked to see (I am guilty as circumstances made it impossible for me to bring my TA. I was a ride along in my sons GTO). There were quite a few really nice cars that could have easily won BiS.
My son and myself spent a fair amount of time talking with Don Glover. Quite an interesting piece of automotive history. As well as his work with the 'jaws of life'. |
