New headlights.
Need to figure out the o-ring wave washer deal on the new vent window knobs. Wave washer, o-ring then handle or o-ring, washer then handle. Maybe no o-ring?

So glad to finally get these 73 deluxe buckets completed! Highly recommend going with Legendary covers, worth the extra cost. They took over 4 months to come though!
This pneumatic hog-ring pliers made short work of the job, even getting down in this deep creases to get it buttoned up right! Haven’t sat in these seats since I tore down my 73 back in 1981!

Yesterday afternoon gave the car a thorough examination after the registration inspection to see if they messed with anything other than the exhaust. Nothing I could see. Took it off the jack stands.
Got up early this morning to run it around the local area a bit so the various seals do not get stuck. A bit of a risk as the plates are no longer valid nor does it have any road insurance. 3 to 6 months after inspection is the time it usually takes the legendarily slothful Portuguese state for issuing plates to non-Portuguese cars.

Drove the Catalina, probably for the last time until I get the rear main changed, leaking like a sieve. Not looking forward to this!

I re-did the wrap on the front of the 69 GTO (updated another thread) and took the General out to a cruise where I ran into both cars from Bullit

My son and I pulled the original 326 out of his 65 Tempest, and are preparing a 400 to go in its place

I'm in the final assembly stages after waaaayyy too many years. Cleaned up all the wiring for the Holley Sniper and today I'll be routing the cables to the battery in the trunk. It's getting close.

It was the last shop night of the year and the last one for Cole and I as he graduates next year. All his work on the Ventura this year earned him a $1500 scholarship from the local Rotary Club. It was a really nice way to end the school year.
His shop teacher is on the left and the Rotary rep on the right. I had his girlfriend snap a pic of us with the Ventura before we left.

My rear end is back from the shop.
Wiped it down with mineral spirits and lacquer thinner then gave it a generous coating of rattle can Rustoleum gloss black enamel. 1971-72 Olds 8.5 10-bolt, 3.08 gears, factory 28-spline Auburn posi (disassembled, inspected and given a clean bill of health) and a T/A Performance aluminum cover/girdle. Nothing really special but far superior in strength and performance compared to the 2.56 open 8.2 rear end I’m replacing. Can’t wait to try it out.
