FYI, 6383 is less than 7925.

Rare does not always equal desirable.

Never said it did…
I happen to like 2 door sedans.

This week a nice 66 2+2 HT failed to sell at $16,000 on Bring A Trailer. The bottom line is these cars are dropping in value because the buyer pool is just not there. Demographics. I have 2 65 2+2s and I plan on continuing to upgrade them and enjoy them going forward. They are fun cars and a pleasure to own.

I think that there were other reasons why that particular car didn't sell

Are those side lights legit? Really takes away from the lines of the car. In my opinion. Yeah I know its not worth much. HA!

No. They are probably a deal killer for most people.

I spent some time looking at the link for the No sale 2+2. I think the seller should have taken the 14.5K offer and run to the bank with it. JMO. Sure it has a list of defects as long as your arm and twice as harry, but it all depends on what the end game was for a buyer I guess. Looks like it could be a decent driver with another 5K investment. Didn't look too bad underneath, frame and floors looked OK. If you wanted to restore it properly, you would be upside down so fast I doubt you would ever get your balance back! It would take well into 6 figures to do a proper restoration if paying a shop to do it. That's why I continue to recommend to figure out what your ultimate goal is and buy a finished car that meets your budget. I don't think 14.5K is way, way off the rails for that car. But certainly at the very top of the market for one in that mediocre condition. I still maintain a really nice 66 2+2 can be bought for 45-55K. One that would win local and place in regional shows.
