Pretty rare Camaro, I’ve only seen 3 in all the years, only reason I posted it was it looks like a YEE in a Camaro, it’s a 1980, it has the lighter camel in the interior. Anyway, I’ve always collect camel or YEE stuff, getting harder to find, I found a set of camel GM mats in the box. Hard to find too.

The mismatched color on noses or other non metal parts of the car is from the different materials... pretty sure the factory didnt use a flex agent on these cars when new and Ive been told by experienced painters that flex agent doesnt change the color, it just slows the curing time to allow for assembly. As with most things, opinions & experience will vary.
But its a pretty well known issue in the auto paint world, my local but nationwide chain auto paint supply store actually has a big display that shows different materials painted with the same paint at the same time, the color difference is obvious between plastic & metal, especially on metal flake colors, solid colors dont show as much. Also related to how the parts are painted, all together with the body with same paint mix or done at different times with same paint/color but another mix or at different temps/humidity etc. I will get a pic of the display next time Im there. |
