But…..can she parallel park?

Crazy fast, amazing the number of women that are dominating what most consider to be a man’s sport. Being the daughter of the legendary John Force had to help, but not all children of great racers have measured up to successes of their fathers.

Times sure have changed.

She set the record awhile back at 341.1x or so which was forever to get in the 340 range.
Last week at previous race she reset that with a 341.8x which everyone thought was wild.

Then a week later she ran 2 mph faster which is phenomenal!

(ps, Doug Kalitta also ran a 341 last week being only the second person to run 34x)

It makes me chuckle every time I see the Indycar commercial that states "The fastest racing on earth." They've got another 100 mph to go to make that claim.

All that in 1000 FT. as well. Try as they might to slow the nitro cars down, smart crew chiefs, better, more durable parts, just keep pushing these cars faster and faster. Of course Britney's great driving completes the circle. Soon, the tires will once again be under the microscope as that was the driving force to go from 1320 ft. to 1000. She is incredible.

Over 300 in the 1/8 is just phenomenal!

As a fan and drag racing participant, I hate to hear of efforts to "rein in" a class, but for Top Fuel and AA/FC - I'm honestly concerned for the drivers at this level of performance. The cars go faster and faster, but the human ability to respond to stimulus does not. The ability to save your own *ss is going down every time they go faster.

How to do it? Limit the amount of air ingested, as far as I can tell. Smaller blower, and limit its overdrive percentage? I don't have the answers, but maybe now is the time to do something.

I remember when they first went to 1000 feet and everybody was complaining that they wanted to see the big 300+ mile per hour runs.
It might have been Austin Coil that said “ those motors were basically done by 1,000 ft and just consuming themselves the last 320, and before you know it, they will be running 340 at 1,000 ft.
Mind boggling performance out of those engines.
