As the title says, the SFI sticker on my brand new QuickTime bellhousing is already peeling off.

Is there any industry standard method of securing this that wont make a tech inspector think I just stole the sticker off another car?

I was thinking about burying it under a few layers of 2k clear.

Maybe call them and ask for another sticker after explaining the situation.

If anything I’d be more inclined to carefully cut a piece of clear film used for protecting automotive paint and seal it off with that.

ive wondered how picky they are on the cert sticker. my lakewood is in great shape but 15 years old. when they was 300 bucks it may have been easier to buy new vs shipping these things back in for cert, but now they are 1k

Crash wrap type stuff, that's a pretty good idea.

But yeah I just paid like $1100 bucks for this last year and the corner was already lifting when I got it. Now that the car is getting closer to running the thing is like a third of the way off.

Im sure I can gently use a heat gun to soften the glue and stick it back down, but I wouldn't trust it to last.

You just never now how track tech is going to be. 90% of the time they just verbally ask me "Do you have a driveshaft loop?", 'What year Snell rating is your helmet?"

But I have also had them go through it harder before.

Just put it on a piece of paper with the specs on all your other SFI equipment so tech can look at it.

What AC said. Just write it down. And or take picture of sticker. Put all your SFI picture / images on a folder with hand written numbers for each component / part that has SFI on them.

Keep the folder in your car/trailer. Makes things a lot easier for you and the tech guy at any track.
