The rear grill on defogger was shared with 69 gto.
I know this because I bought a back up unit that's all the same except the switch on dash bezel I'll get you pics of it and drip rails.

I have another ask;

1) Has anyone reading this recently held or bought any of the reproduction 70/71 Formula fender emblems?

2) If you can say "yes" to that question;
Can you confirm either the part number or spacing for the first and second mounting studs?

I am asking because other than the 70 bumper emblem, the repops tend to be so authentic that identifying a new repop against an NOS emblem seems often impossible - they tend to be authentic right down to casting numbers.

To elaborate further;
I have been working under the premise that all three use the 1971 mounting stud locations (I may have read this somewhere);
I am going to combine and compress info about the 70 vs 71 Formula emblems, but I would like to be sure I am not mis-speaking.

I am seeing emblems on eBay, and it almost looks like the repops have the 70 stud spacing - which contradicts my previous understanding.

The OE 1971 emblems have the mounting studs with the same spacing as the 1971-1981 fender "Firebird" emblems - the 1970 "Formula 400" emblems have different stud spacing.



Top/first: 1970 Formula emblem
second: 1971 Formula emblem
third: 1972-1975 Formula emblem
fourth: 1971-1981 "Firebird" emblem

For the above image, the second through fourth emblems all have aligned spacing for the mounting studs.

MOUNTING PIN LOCATION IS CORRECT FOR 1970 ONLY. 71 MODELS WILL HAVE TO DRILL NEW HOLES.
