Really attractive car and Modesto location bode well for its body integrity. Funny that a GTO from Modesto wouldn’t have AC, Central Valley in summer is a nasty place especially with black guts!

I live in the Modesto area... The summers here suck. A/C in an old car like that is worthless around here. The old A/C systems can't keep up with the heat. Driving around town with a stock cooling system and A/C running is a recipe for a boil over on a 95+ degree day. Better off driving around with all the windows down..

I have to laugh when I think how soft we (myself included) have all become. My parents lived in the Sacramento Valley since 1956, where summertime temperatures range from 100-115. Their first vehicle with A/C was a '92 Chevy pick-up. Dad didn't want it as he believed it stole to much HP

Needless to say I've added under dash AC to the family 68 GTO during its restoration. Even here in coastal San Diego.
