I saw this carb for sale. I am not an expert on 7040273 carbs but the stamping on this car is upside down from all the carbs i have seen. The tops of the numbers and letters were facing away from the body of the carb. Any explanation other than a bad restamp?
I would post a photo but the add attachment function isn't working for me. |

I will need one for my Judge but my funds are going toward restoring the car. I'm currently finishing up the body so I can take it off the rotisserie and onto the chassis. I'm trying to learn as much as i can about the 749273 so when I have the funds I can buy one and not get a restamp.

You wouldn't believe the extent a car seller on BaT went to try and disprove/contradict that.
His argument was that some 67 RA cars used 7027263 carbs , and Carter made some 7027263 carbs. Therefore, RamAir . I rebutted that properly. He was selling a 70 Judge with an obviously restamped 7040273 , plus it was a Carter. Reminded me of these sanctuary city/state representatives. |
